One of the Latvian folk songs - Salue, Pērkons, Daugava... I can't even express how much I adore and treasure this song. Every, truly every time I'm listening to it, thousands of shivers are running down my spine, and tears are rushing into my eyes. This is the reason why I am proud to be Latvian. This is what unites us and makes us strong! Whenever I feel insecure about the future of my homeland - whether we will survive the next couple of decades or even hundreds of years, I listen to this song, and then I'm reassured, that we will!
